I’m a cook and food-writer specialising in Chinese food. I first lived in China in the 1990s and have been travelling and eating there ever since. I’ve written various books, including, most recently, The Food of Sichuan. I originally came across the Symposium while researching an MA thesis about Sichuanese food, and attended for the first time in 1996.
