Hi, I’m a writer, image designer and curator of exhibitions.
I wrote books and curated exhibitions in co-operation with art- and science museums. In 2004 I published the highly succesful Rotterdams Kookboek (in Dutch) about local foodcommunities in the city of Rotterdam (NL). As the founder of the virtual FoodMuseum.nl (2012) I focus on food in its cultural context with a special interest in foodobjects in museumcollections. For this year’s Oxford Food Symposium I curated an exhibition based on the foodobjects in the collection of the Pitt Rivers Museum, with contributions of symposiasts. “Edible Treusures Unlocked” opens on 9 July, prior to the Symposium.
